Pool Corp. Q2 Profit Rises, Affirms FY17 Earnings View

(RTTNews) - Pool Corp. (POOL) Thursday reported second quarter net income attributable to the company of $94.903 million, up from $85.435 million in the prior year. Earnings per share for the quarter increased 12 percent to $2.21 from $1.98 in the previous year.

On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $2.24 per share. Analysts estimate usually exclude special items.

Revenue for the wholesale distributor of swimming pool and related backyard products climbed 8 percent to $988.16 million from $918.89 million last year. Wall Street expected $983.94 million.

Further, the company affirmed earnings guidance for 2017 to be in a range of $4.12 to $4.32 per share. Analysts are looking for $4.25 per share on revenue of $2.74 billion.
