PolyOne Buys Certain TPE Assets From Kraton For $72 Mln In Cash - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - PolyOne Corp. (POL), a provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, announced Wednesday that it has acquired certain technologies and assets from Kraton Performance Polymers, Inc. (KRA). The purchase price is $72 million in cash.

The two companies also entered into a supply agreement, whereby Kraton will provide PolyOne certain raw materials used in production for the acquired business.

Following transition of the business to PolyOne, Kraton expects to realize fixed cost savings arising from the sale of the business.

Kraton said it intends to use proceeds from the sale to reduce outstanding indebtedness.
