Owens Corning Q3 adjusted earnings Miss Estimates

(RTTNews) - Owens Corning (OC) released a profit for its third quarter that advanced from the same period last year.

The company's earnings came in at $161 million, or $1.45 per share. This compares with $96 million, or $0.85 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, Owens Corning reported adjusted earnings of $171 million or $1.54 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.65 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 7.1% to $1.82 billion from $1.70 billion last year.
