NTT DoCoMo HY Profit Rises; Backs FY Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Japanese mobile operator NTT DoCoMo Inc. (DCM) reported that its six-month ended September 30, 2013 net income attributable to the company increased to 300.40 billion yen, from 285.88 billion yen, with earnings per share improving to 72.44 yen from 68.94 yen in the previous year.

Total operating revenues for the period was 2.199 trillion yen, compared to 2.207 trillion yen last year.

The company expects operating revenues and operating income for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014 to be in line with its original forecasts.

Operating revenues for the year are expected to be 4.640 trillion yen, equal to its original forecasts as an increase in equipment sales offsets a decrease in revenues from mobile communication services mainly due to the impacts of penetration of the " Monthly Support" discount program.

The company still expects operating income for the year to be 840.00 billion yen, and net income attributable to the company of 510.00 billion yen.
