Noah Special Committee Appoints Financial And Legal Advisors To Evaluate Offer

(RTTNews) - Noah Education Holdings Ltd. (NED), a provider of education services in China, Friday said that the special committee of the company's board of directors has retained Duff & Phelps Securities, LLC as its financial advisor and Latham & Watkins as its legal advisor to assist the Special Committee in its work.

As previously announced, the company's board of directors formed the Special Committee to review and evaluate the non-binding proposal received on December 24, 2013.

The proposal from the Consortium Members offered to acquire all outstanding shares of the company not currently owned in a "going private" transaction at a proposed price of $2.80 in cash per ordinary share and $2.80 per American Depositary Share of the company.
