NextEra Energy Partners LP Q1 Earnings Rise 150%

(RTTNews) - NextEra Energy Partners LP (NEP) released a profit for its first quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $5 million, or $0.14 per share. This was up from $2 million, or $0.08 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.33 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 52.8% to $165 million. This was up from $108 million last year.
