Navigant Consulting Q4 Profit Rises; Sees 2014 Results Below View

(RTTNews) - Navigant Consulting Inc. (NCI) reported fourth-quarter net income of $14.22 million or $0.29 per share, up from $13.53 million or $0.27 per share in the year-ago period.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.25 per share, compared to $0.29 per share in the prior-year quarter. On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.22 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues before reimbursements declined to $177.79 million from $189.33 million in the same period last year. Total revenues were $204.82 million, down from $218.91 million last year. Analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $206.00 million for the quarter.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2014, Navigant forecasts adjusted earnings per share in a range of $1.03 to $1.13, and total revenues between $810 million and $850 million. Street expects the company to earn $1.15 per share for the year on revenues of $863.15 million.
