National CineMedia Profit Tops Estimate; Details Weak Q3 Revenue Guidance

(RTTNews) - National CineMedia Inc (NCMI), an operator of digital in-theatre media network, Tuesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $3.6 million or $0.06 per share, compared with $9.5 million or $0.17 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.08 per share.

Revenue for the quarter declined 18.6% to $100 million from $122.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters projected earnings of $0.07 per share on revenue of $97 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the third quarter, the company expects earnings of $16.8 million to $17.8 million and revenue of $98 million to $108 million.

Analysts expect revenue of $125.8 million for the quarter.

The company declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.22 per share.
