Mentor Graphics Q4 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Mentor Graphics Corp. (MENT) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $114.5 million or $0.96 per share, up from $105.5 million or $0.89 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $1.09 per share, up from $0.92 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter rose to $439.1 million from $401.0 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.07 per share on revenue of $424.98 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimate typically excludes special items.

Looking forward to the first quarter, the company expects revenues of about $260 million and adjusted earnings of about $0.18 per share. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.18 per share on revenues of $276.29 million for the quarter.

For the full year 2016, the company expects revenues of about $1.282 billion and adjusted earnings of about $1.85 per share. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $1.90 per share on revenues of $1.31 billion for the year.
