MDU Resources Bottom Line Advances 2% In Q3

(RTTNews) - MDU Resources (MDU) announced earnings for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $89.6 million, or $0.46 per share. This was up from $88.2 million, or $0.45 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.49 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.0% to $1.27 billion. This was up from $1.21 billion last year.
