Marsh & McLennan: FTC Issues Early Ruling On Acquisition Of Jardine Lloyd

(RTTNews) - Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC) and Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc (JLT) confirmed tha the Federal Trade Commission has granted an early termination of the waiting period under the HSR Act with respect to MMC's acquisition of JLT. The acquisition remains subject to additional required antitrust and regulatory approvals as well as the approval of JLT shareholders.

The companies also announced that the scheme document, which contains the full terms and conditions of the acquisition, has been published and posted for JLT Shareholders. A General Meeting of JLT shareholders will be held on November 7, 2018.
