Marsh & McLennan Buys J.W. Terrill

(RTTNews) - Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, a part of insurance broker and risk manager Marsh & McLennan Cos Inc (MMC), on Wednesday said it acquired St. Louis, Missouri-based J.W. Terrill, an independent agency in the Midwest. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Marsh & McLennan Agency said the deal expands its national footprint into Missouri, and is part of efforts to build a leading preeminent insurance agency serving the risk management and employee benefits needs of middle market companies.

Founded in 1972, J.W. Terrill provides services including commercial and personal insurance, risk management and employee benefits to clients throughout the US. It has about 195 employees and generates $32 million in revenues.
