Manchester United Q4 Pre-tax Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - English football club Manchester United plc (MANU) posted a wider fourth-quarter pre-tax loss of 27.94 million pounds, compared with a 20.34 million pounds loss a year ago.

On the other hand, profit for the period totaled 106.1 million pounds, versus a loss of 14.9 million pounds in the prior year. On a per share basis, quarterly earnings were 0.65 pounds, as against a 0.10 pounds loss last year. Adjusted net loss for the latest period amounted to 2.68 million pounds.

The company clocked 85.1 million pounds of revenue for the quarter, an increase from last year's 74.49 million pounds.

For fiscal 2014, Manchester United expects revenue to lie between 420 million pounds and 430 million pounds.
