Lucas M. Newman Joins First Republic Private Wealth Management

First Republic Bank, a leading provider of private banking and wealth management services, today announced that Lucas Newman, who has 10 years of investment management experience, has joined First Republic Private Wealth Management in Portland as Portfolio Manager and Managing Director.

First Republic Private Wealth Management provides customized wealth management solutions, including trust, investment management and brokerage services, to high net worth individuals and families, foundations, endowments and non-profits. First Republic Private Wealth Management complements First Republic’s comprehensive suite of private banking and business banking services delivered with exceptional client service.

In addition to Newman’s appointment, First Republic today announced the hiring of Portfolio Manager and Managing Director Michael Tinney. Newman and Tinney are part of First Republic Investment Management, which works with clients to develop customized equity and fixed-income investment management solutions. Customized client portfolios utilize both traditional portfolio management and may employ carefully screened outside managers for equity, fixed income, and alternative investments.

Prior to joining First Republic, Newman worked for Wells Fargo’s private bank for ten years, most recently as Vice President, Investment Manager. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Lucas worked for a regional investment advisor in western Montana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Montana and holds the Certified Investment Management Consultant (CIMC) designation.
