Lincoln National Corp. Reveals 13% Drop In Q4 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Lincoln National Corp. (LNC) revealed earnings for fourth quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $382 million, or $1.54 per share. This was down from $439 million, or $1.67 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.56 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 14.1% to $3.17 billion. This was down from $3.69 billion last year.
