LCA-Vision Q4 Loss Narrows, Matches Estimates

(RTTNews) - LCA-Vision Inc. (LCAV), a provider of laser vision correction services under the LasikPlus brand, Tuesday reported a narrower loss for the fourth quarter, despite nearly flat revenues, mainly on account of lower costs. Loss was also in line with analysts' estimates.

During the 3-month period, net loss narrowed to $1.47 million or $0.08 per share, from the loss of $5.62 million or $0.30 per share, a year earlier.

On average, 8 analysts polled by Thomson-Reuters estimated the company's loss to be $0.08 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

For the fourth quarter, operating loss was $1.7 million compared with a loss of $5.99 million a year earlier.

Revenues remained nearly flat at $20.6 million, compared with $20.2 million a year earlier.
