Jazz Pharma Results Top Estimate; Lifts FY Guidance

(RTTNews) - Jazz Pharmaceuticals (JAZZ) Tuesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $25.8 million or $0.41 per share compared with $75.4 million or $1.23 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $2.33 per share compared with $1.78 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $306.6 million compared with $232 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $2.22 per share on revenues of $302.5 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year, the company now expects earnings of $8.20 to $8.35 per share on revenues of $1.15 billion to $1.17 billion. It earlier expected earnings of $8.00 to $8.25 per share on revenues of $1.13 billion to $1.17 billion.

Analysts expect earnings of $8.18 per share on revenues of $1.16 billion for the year.
