Investing in Digital the Focus of 2017 ISG Sourcing Industry Conference

STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 200 industry leaders will gather in Austin, Tex., next month for the 2017 ISG Sourcing Industry Conference (SIC), the premier annual event for service and technology providers hosted by Information Services Group (ISG) (NASDAQ: III), a leading global technology research and advisory firm.

This year's ISG SIC, October 11-13 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel, will feature some of the leading voices on digital transformation who will explore how enterprises are investing in new digital technologies today and preparing for the technologies and services they'll be buying tomorrow.

"We are at a turning point in business history, where every company is becoming a technology company that interfaces with customers, suppliers, business partners and employees in an increasingly digital and interconnected way," said Todd Lavieri, president of ISG Americas and a featured speaker at this year's event. "The stakes are incredibly high for traditional service providers, who must pivot quickly from the old way of doing business and provide a continuous stream of digital innovations to satisfy the unrelenting demands of their enterprise customers.

"Technology providers born into the digital age – whether they play in the IaaS, SaaS, IoT, automation or AI space – are proving to be formidable competitors to traditional service providers," added Lavieri. "The pressure is enormous on traditional providers to make investments in automation, cognitive computing and digital strategy even as they struggle with margin pressure and single-digit growth. This year's SIC will give voice to those concerns, and show the way to success through the eyes of enterprise clients and ISG advisors who are on the front lines of the digital revolution."

This year's enterprise speakers include Cesar Andrade, executive vice president of operations at Interbank; Dave Cotteleer, vice president and chief information officer, Harley-Davidson, Inc., and Mark Barrick, director of enterprise services, Norfolk Southern Corporation.

In addition to general session keynote presentations and panel discussions, the three-day event includes two pre-conference workshops, 18 concurrent breakout sessions, networking time and pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with ISG advisors.

The 2017 ISG Sourcing Industry Conference is sponsored by CAST Software. Media partners include IAOP and Outsourcing Digest. More details about the event can be found at the event website.
