IberiaBank Profit Tops Estimate

(RTTNews) - IberiaBank Corp. (IBKC) Wednesday reported third-quarter net earnings to stockholders of $29.3 million or $0.89 per share compared with $22.8 million or $0.78 per share last year.

Excluding items, operating earnings for the quarter were $1.00 per share compared with $0.83 per share a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.98 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net interest income for the quarter was $121 million compared with $97.5 million a year ago, and non-interest income was $45.7 million compared with $43.3 million.

Analysts estimated revenues of $166.7 million for the quarter.

Provision for loan losses for the quarter rose to $5.7 million from $2 million last year.
