Heartland Express Reveals Increase In Q4 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Heartland Express (HTLD) reported a profit for its fourth quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $38.60 million, or $0.46 per share. This was higher than $13.11 million, or $0.16 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.11 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 18.3% to $165.70 million. This was up from $140.04 million last year.
