Heartland Express Q3 Earnings Fall 37%

(RTTNews) - Heartland Express (HTLD) released a profit for third quarter that fell from last year.

The company said its bottom line fell to $7.92 million, or $0.09 per share. This was down from $12.53 million, or $0.15 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.17 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 22.0% to $182.11 million. This was up from $149.32 million last year.
