Heartland Express Profit Declines 30% In Q2
(RTTNews) - Heartland Express (HTLD) announced earnings for second quarter that retreated from last year.
The company said its earnings came in at $16.37 million, or $0.20 per share. This was down from $23.32 million, or $0.27 per share, in last year's second quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.20 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 16.1% to $160.79 million. This was down from $191.68 million last year.
