HealthSouth Posts Q4 Loss - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - HealthSouth Corp. (HLS) Wednesday reported fourth-quarter loss of $26.5 million or $0.31 per share, compared to a profit of $41.2 million or $0.43 per share in the same period last year.

On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.44 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating revenues improved 3.5 percent to $572.1 million from $552.9 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $577.96 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal 2014, the company has forecast earnings in the range of $1.86 to $1.91 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $1.97 per share.
