GoPro Selling Karma Drones Again
(RTTNews) - GoPro Inc.'s (GPRO) Karma drone is back on sale after the adventure camera maker recalled it three-months ago due to a power issue.
In November 2016, GoPro issued a voluntary recall of about 2500 Karma drones purchased by consumers since October 23 after the company discovered that certain Karma units lost power during operation.
The company, in a blog post, said it has redesigned the battery latch that has "led to a huge improvement" to the product.
"Karma is the ultimate aerial, handheld and wearable stabilization solution for the GoPro community," says GoPro Founder and CEO, Nick Woodman. "As the consumer drone market continues to grow, Karma delivers the most versatile solution at a very accessible price."
The GoPro Karma is available for $799 or $1,099 when bundled with a GoPro Black camera.
The Karma drone is easily folded for the ease of storage and carrying and comes with a small backpack. The Karma drone can fly with the new Hero 5 Black, Hero 5 Session, and Hero 4 cameras.
