FT: Aviva Investors To Vote Against Unilever Proposal To Move Headquarters

(RTTNews) - As per media reports, Aviva investors are prepared to vote against the Unilever proposal to move its headquarters. In March 2018, Unilever plc announced it will be scrapping its London headquarters and will make Rotterdam, Netherlands its legal home.

As part of its decision to modernise the company's structure, the Board of Unilever plc concluded that the new Unilever NV should be incorporated in the Netherlands. This reflects the fact that the Group's Dutch company is 22% larger than its UK company, and more of the Group's shares trade in the Netherlands than the UK.
