FreeSeas Names Dimitris Papadopoulos CFO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - FreeSeas Inc. (FREE) Monday said it appointed Dimitris Papadopoulos as chief financial officer, as a replacement for Alexandros Mylonas who resigned. Further, the company said that it elected Keith Bloomfield and Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos as board members to serve until 2016.

Dimitris Papadopoulos began his career in Citigroup, New York, European division, moving to Citigroup Athens as General Manager of Corporate Finance. He then served at Archirodon Group Inc. as the financial and administration Vice President, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the group's US arm, Delphinance Development Corp. He also worked as the Managing Director of Dorian Bank, executive Vice President at the Hellenic Investment Bank and President of Waterfront Developments S.A.

At the shareholders meeting, the company said it was granted discretionary authority to the board, pursuant to which the shares would be combined and reclassified into one share of common stock at a ratio within the range from 1-for-2 up to 1-for-5.
