Fluidigm Q2 Loss Widens; Lifts FY14 Revenue Outlook

(RTTNews) - Fluidigm Corporation (FLDM) Monday said first-quarter loss widened to $12.7 million or $0.45 per share from $4.0 million or $0.16 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.50 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased 58 percent to $27.61 million from $17.48 million last year, while six analysts expected revenues of $27.13 million.

For fiscal 2014, the company raised its revenues to a range of $112 million to $118 million from its prior range of $111 million to $116 million. Analysts currently expect full-year revenues of $115.21 million.
