Fiserv Profit Rises, Tops Estimates - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Fiserv Inc. (FISV), a provider of financial services technology solutions, Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $159 million or $1.21 per share compared with $139 million or $1.02 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $1.56 per share compared with $1.26 per share a year ago.

GAAP revenue for the quarter was $1.2 billion compared with $1.11 billion in the prior year. Adjusted revenue was $1.14 billion compared with $1.04 billion last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.51 per share on revenue of $1.23 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For fiscal year 2013, Fiserv still expects adjusted earnings of $5.94 to $6.02 per share, while analysts expect $5.99 per share.

The company expects full year adjusted revenue growth of about 10 percent.
