E*Trade Financial Corp. Announces 43% Gain In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - E*Trade Financial Corp. (ETFC) reported a profit for its fourth quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $127 million, or $0.46 per share. This was higher than $89 million, or $0.30 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.42 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 15.9% to $509 million. This was up from $439 million last year.
