Envision Healthcare Q4 Profit Declines; Backs FY14 Adj. EPS Guidance

(RTTNews) - Envision Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (EVHC) reported fourth-quarter net income attributable to the company of $7.9 million or $0.04 per share, compared to $12.3 million or $0.09 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings per share for the latest fourth quarter was $0.20. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.17 per share for the quarter. Analysts, estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue for the latest fourth quarter rose 13.0% to $984.85 million from $871.92 million in the comparable quarter last year, while fourteen analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $994.41 million.

For fiscal 2014, the company reaffirmed its previously announced 2014 adjusted earnings guidance of $1.10 to $1.15. Analysts now expect fiscal 2014 earnings of $0.84 per share.
