Emeritus Senior Living Launches New "Family Advocates" Center
SEATTLE, Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In its ongoing commitment to enhance the lives of seniors across the country – and their families – Emeritus Senior Living is announcing the opening of its new call center, housed in its Seattle corporate headquarters. The center is staffed by Family Advocates, who work with people who are seeking senior living and care options.
"Our Family Advocates are so named, because they truly represent the needs of the family," said Karen Lucas, Vice President of Product Development and Communications. "If a family's circumstances are such that they will be better off in a situation we aren't able to accommodate, we'll say so. Then we'll provide them with the resources and information they need to ensure their care needs are met."
The Emeritus website generates more than 5,000 calls a month from people seeking information, and nearly 6,000 Internet inquiries each month, from people across the country.
"Having our own dedicated team of caring and compassionate individuals who understand senior living allows us to provide the kind of care and service our customers are seeking," said Lucas. "We can devote the necessary time to families and seniors who are just starting to navigate their senior care options, which can sometimes be confusing. Our Advocates can help them understand the wide range of alternatives and provide excellent resources to help with their decisions. Meanwhile, our communities continue to do what they do best – care for our residents."
