(RTTNews) - Electronics for Imaging, Inc. (EFII) Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $16.1 million, or $0.33 per share, compared to $13.4 million, or $0.28 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $18.7 million or $0.39 per share, up from $13.3 million, or $0.38 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.34 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased 16 percent to $178.82 million from $154.07 million last year, while four analysts expected revenues of $172.53 million.
