Electronic Arts Inc Bottom Line Drops 55% In Q1

(RTTNews) - Electronic Arts Inc (EA) announced earnings for first quarter that fell compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $22 million, or $0.07 per share. This was lower than $49 million, or $0.15 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn -$0.02 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.6% to $682 million. This was down from $693 million last year.
