ECMC provides timely resources for Connecticut students planning for college

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ECMC is pleased to provide timely resources—available at no cost—for those planning to attend college, whether a trade school, a community college or a four-year university.

"Our college planning and financial literacy resources play an important role in helping Connecticut students and families make informed decisions in their pursuit of higher education. We are pleased to be able to provide valuable tools that simplify college planning," said Paula Craw, Vice President, Outreach and Financial Literacy.

2013-2014 Opportunities: Preparing for college guide and workbook. This is the fourth annual release of this college planning resource that equips students with tools to guide their pursuit of postsecondary education. Opportunities books are available in English and Spanish and can be ordered by guidance counselors, community organizations and colleges at www.ecmc.org/opportunities.

College Nights. ECMC is excited to now offer College Nights in Connecticut debuting on Nov. 4 in our pilot location in Ansonia. Look for more in 2014. College Night events are free for students and their families aimed at simplifying the college planning process. Scholarship drawings will be held at each of these events. More information is available at www.collegenights.org.
