Earnings Watch For October 30 (FB, MAR, SBUX, V, CMCSA, GM, S)
(RTTNews) - Social networking giant Facebook, Inc. (FB) is slated to report third quarter results after the markets close. The Menlo Park, California-based company is expected to report a profit of $0.19 per share, higher than the $0.12 per share reported a year earlier and revenues are projected at $1.91 billion, up from $1.26 billion last year. The stock closed Tuesday at $49.40. (52-wk H/L $54.83/$18.87).
Bethesda, Maryland-based Marriott International, Inc. (MAR) is due to post its third quarter results after the close of trading. The earnings of the hotel operator are expected at $0.45 per share, a marginal increase from the previous year's $0.44 per share. Quarterly revenues are anticipated to rise to $3.04 billion from $2.73 billion last year. The stock closed Tuesday at $44.61.( 52-wk H/L $44.75/$33.93)
Cable giant Comcast Corp. (CMCSA) is expected to report results for the third quarter. The earnings of the company are expected to grow to $0.61 per share from the prior year's 0.46 per share, whereas revenues are projected to decline to $16.25 billion from $16.54 billion reported a year earlier. The world's largest specialty coffee retailer Starbucks Corp. (SBUX) is scheduled to post its fourth-quarter results after the markets close. The Seattle, Washington-based company is expected to report earnings of $0.60 per share on revenues of $3.81 billion. A year earlier, earnings and revenue were $0.46 per share and $3.36 billion, respectively. The stock closed Tuesday's regular trading at $79.62. (52-wk H/L $81.08/$45.00)
General Motors Co. (GM) will post its third quarter results. Quarterly earnings of the automaker are expected at $0.93 per share, flat with last year. Further, revenues are anticipated at $39.49 billion, an increase from last year's $37.58 billion. The company's shares closed Tuesday's regular trading at $36.06. (52-wk H/L $37.97/$23.39)
Visa, Inc. (V) is scheduled to report fourth-quarter results. The company is expected to post earnings of $1.85 per share, higher than the year-ago quarter's $1.54 per share. Also, the company is anticipated to generate revenues of $3.02 billion compared to $2.73 billion in the prior-year quarter. The company's shares closed Tuesday's session at $204.24. Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) will report its third quarter results. Quarterly revenues of the telecom services provider are anticipated to decrease to $8.67 billion from the last year's $8.76 billion. The company's shares closed Tuesday's session at $6.68. (52-wk H/L $7.26/$5.61)
