Augsburg, Germany, June 9, 2016 - Kontron AG, a leading global provider of Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), today gave testimony of its fiscal year 2015 and reported first steps towards the implementation of its new strategy.

After an adjustment had become necessary in October 2015, the company has achieved all its updated targets for the year. CEO Rolf Schwirz emphasised that, since his assumption of Kontron's leadership at the beginning of 2013, the business generated solid growth in all of its core areas, as well as raising profitability significantly. In addition, he reported initial successes at implementing the new strategy announced in May 2015: in order to take advantage of long-term trends such as the Internet of Things and Industry 4.0, Kontron is focusing on positioning itself as a combined middleware and hardware provider. The company has taken decisive steps towards the development of its first IoT platform. Also, its business in the growth region Asia has increased substantially and was strengthened further by the partnership with Ennoconn which was announced in January and finalized in April 2016. And finally, its sales organization, streamlined in April 2016, has boosted its effectiveness for selling standardized and customized products.

Shareholders present at the AGM have approved the actions of the supervisory and management boards during 2015, and passed all proposed resolutions with large majorities.
