Board of Directors of Braas Monier decides on internal solution for CEO succession

- Pierre-Marie De Leener, Chairman of the Board of Directors, appointed interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

- Georg Harrasser, Regional President Central, Northern & Eastern Europe, appointed new Chief Operating Officer (COO)

- New leadership team (CEO / COO / CFO), effective as of 15 January 2016, to continue and further develop ambitious growth strategy together with existing senior management

Luxembourg, 12 January 2016. The Board of Directors of Braas Monier Building Group S.A. has appointed Pierre-Marie De Leener, Chairman of the Board of Directors, as interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Braas Monier Building Group S.A., and Georg Harrasser, Regional President Central, Northern & Eastern Europe, as new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Braas Monier Building Group S.A. Both appointments will be effective as of 15 January 2016.

'Mr De Leener's extensive CEO experience and outstanding track record of leading successful international business operations means that he is ideally positioned to drive forward the company's next phase of growth, backed by the new COO and the entire existing management team. With a long experience in the roofing industry and having led the Group's largest region for the past years, Mr Harrasser has consistently proven his ability to achieve operational excellence. In the important German market, he strongly improved the operating performance despite an overall challenging environment, in which he was nonetheless able to outgrow the market in terms of revenues and strengthen the long-term relations with key customers.'

The personnel changes follow the announcement of 10 August 2015 by Pepyn Dinandt that he does not intend to seek a renewal of his appointment as Group CEO, expiring 30 June 2016. Pepyn Dinandt will step down from all duties with effect as of 15 January 2016. He will ensure a frictionless handover in the course of the next weeks and be available as an advisor to the company until end of June 2016. About Pierre-Marie De Leener Mr De Leener was CEO of SigmaKalon Group from 1999 to 2008. After the merger of PPG Industries and SigmaKalon he was appointed Senior Vice President and then Executive Vice President of PPG Industries, Pittsburgh (USA). Pierre-Marie De Leener is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Flint Group and a Director of Trinseo S.A. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Braas Monier Building Group S.A. with effect as of May 2014. Mr De Leener graduated from the Catholic University of Louvain with degrees in Chemical Engineering, Economics and Philosophy.

About Georg Harrasser Georg Harrasser started his career in our Group in 1993 and since then held various positions in quality management, as plant manager and Industrial Director for concrete and clay tiles as well as CEO positions of Monier Italy and of Monier Asia Pacific. Since early 2013 Georg Harrasser is Regional President of the Group's Central, Northern & Eastern European region, which in 2014 generated revenues of EUR 427 million and an Operating EBITDA of EUR 72 million. Georg Harrasser graduated from the Technical University Munich with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management.
