DePaul University Expands Availability of CCH TeamMate Software to Graduate Courses for Internal Auditing
ARC Logics, a Wolters Kluwer business, announced today that DePaul University in Chicago is expanding the use of the company’s CCH TeamMate software within its School of Accountancy and Management Information Systems.
After integrating the CCH TeamMate audit management system with its undergraduate program last fall with positive results, DePaul is now incorporating the technology with its graduate-level courses.
"The CCH TeamMate software can help students develop some of the skills that are necessary to successfully transition from the classroom to the marketplace,” said Dr. Sandra Shelton, professor of Internal Audit and coordinator of the Internal Audit Education Partnership Program at DePaul. "Understanding and use of this technology provide a competitive advantage as they pursue careers in the areas of audit, risk management and compliance.”
CCH TeamMate will be incorporated into the graduate-level courses by way of a case study. The case involves the internal audit activities of a fictitious Chicago hospital. Graduate students will be given a set of facts upon which they will implement audit procedures within CCH TeamMate and then record the results of their audit findings within the software.
"Technology experience can undoubtedly be a differentiating factor between candidates in the internal audit profession,” said Mike Gowell, vice president and general manager, CCH TeamMate. "As technology continues to play an increasingly important role in the recruiting process, we are excited to help DePaul’s students gain valuable experience with automated systems and add another significant component to their résumés.”
CCH TeamMate is the world’s most widely-used audit management system. More than 85,000 auditors across the world rely on CCH TeamMate to improve the internal audit process, including risk assessment, scheduling, planning, execution, review, report generation, trend analysis, committee reporting and storage.
