Delta Air Lines Inc Q4 Profit Decreases, But Beats Estimates

(RTTNews) - Delta Air Lines Inc (DAL) released earnings for fourth quarter that decreased from the same period last year but beat the Street estimates.

The company's bottom line totaled $843 million, or $1.29 per share. This compares with $2.037 billion, or $3.16 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Excluding items, Delta Air Lines Inc reported adjusted earnings of $1.203 billion or $1.85 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $1.74 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 9.4% to $15.56 billion from $14.22 billion last year.
