CTG Recognized as a Top 100 Healthcare IT Company by Healthcare Informatics; Company ranked 54th, a 15 point jump in three years

BUFFALO, N.Y., July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CTG, (NASDAQ: CTG), an information technology (IT) solutions and services company, announced today that it was ranked 54th in the Healthcare Informatics 100 (HCI 100), the annual ranking of the top 100 healthcare information technology (HIT) vendors based on 2012 U.S. revenue. Strong growth of the company's HIT business over the past three years has fueled CTG's steady rise in the rankings from 69th in 2010, to 65th in 2011, to 59th in 2012 to its current 54th position.  In addition to other large healthcare IT consulting firms, the list includes the leading hospital information systems companies and other healthcare-related software firms.

"Our steady rise on the HCI 100 list demonstrates CTG's ability to meet the growing and changing demands of providers and payers for high quality health IT solutions, consulting services, and tools," said CTG Chairman and CEO James R. Boldt. "As a leading full service HIT management consulting firm with experience and expertise in multiple areas, CTG is extremely well qualified to help provider and payer organizations respond successfully to health reform and the industry's fundamental transformation from volume- to value-based. Our health IT management consulting business now represents about one-third of CTG's total revenue and remains the major focus of our growth efforts."

Healthcare Informatics compiled the HCI 100 list in collaboration with two market research and analysis companies − Atlanta-based Porter Research and San Francisco-based ST Advisors. Porter Research compiled and reviewed revenue figures for the top 100 revenue-earning companies.  Results were published in the June 2013 issue of Healthcare Informatics.

"We are very pleased to again be recognized as a HCI 100 company," said Ted Reynolds, vice president of CTG Health Solutions, the healthcare management consulting division of CTG. "This honor reflects the strength of  the CTG healthcare consulting teams who consistently deliver deep industry clinical, financial, technical, and operational experience and expertise.  It is also indicative of the breadth of our HIT solutions portfolio spanning advisory and strategic services, data analytics, and application and IT support services. CTG will continue to provide the people and HIT solutions health organizations need to compete effectively in today's rapidly evolving healthcare environment."
