Copa Holdings August Traffic Up About 18% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Panama-based airline company Copa Holdings SA (CPA) said Thursday its August system-wide passenger traffic, expressed in terms of revenue passenger miles or RPM, climbed about 18 year-over-year to 1.28 billion RPM.

Capacity, known as available seat miles or ASM, in August climbed 12.7 percent year-over-year to 1.66 billion ASM.

The company noted that growth in both traffic and capacity was due to improved showing at its international service, while domestic service, represented by Colombian domestic service, slumped.

Load factor in August improved to 77.1 percent from 73.8 percent a year ago.
