Confiant Releases First Annual Demand Quality Report for 2018

Confiant also found that upwards of 500 billion fraudulent in-banner video and malicious impressions served during 2018 — that's one out of every 60 programmatic impressions. Around 90 billion digital video impressions were made up of IBV fraud affecting publishers in Q4 of 2018 alone. However, when it comes to malicious behavior, several European countries took the lead in Q4 with malicious rates trending 80 percent higher than in the United States. In addition, Confiant revealed in the report that the preferred day for malvertisers to attack is Sunday — a contrary fact to the industry's belief that Friday is the favored attack launch day.
