Cohu Q3 Results Top Estimates; Sees Q4 Sales In Line With View

(RTTNews) - Cohu Inc.(COHU) reported that its GAAP loss for the third quarter was $10.50 million or $0.25 per share, compared to net income of $4.80 million or $0.16 per share in the prior year.

On non-GAAP basis, Income from continuing operations was $4.91 million or $0.12 per share, compared to $9.00 million or $0.30 per share last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report break even per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items. Quarterly net sales rose to $143.50 million from $86.16 million in the prior year. Analysts expected revenue of $142.99 million for the quarter.

Cohu expects fourth quarter 2019 sales to be between $134 million and $144 million. Analysts expect revenue of $137.11 million for the fourth-quarter.

Cohu's board approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.06 per share payable on January 2, 2020 to shareholders of record on November 15, 2019.
