CDI Announces William Wasilewski as Executive Vice President of Its Global Engineering and Technology Solutions Business

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CDI Corp. (NYSE: CDI) announced today that William Wasilewski has joined the Company as Executive Vice President of its Global Engineering and Technology Solutions (GETS) business. He succeeds Robert Giorgio, who will remain with the Company through September of 2013 to ensure a smooth transition and continue to provide services through a consulting agreement.

Wasilewski will be responsible for developing the overall strategy for the GETS business that focuses on key industrial verticals, including oil, gas & chemicals; aerospace & industrial equipment; as well as defense and infrastructure. He will continue to expand current services into new geographies and markets to create short- and long-term growth opportunities.

Wasilewski has more than 30 years of engineering services experience across a wide range of industries. He has held senior roles in business operations, technology, sales and marketing, and planning, and has led global initiatives that improved profitability, productivity and client relationships.

Wasilewski joins CDI from Furmanite Corporation, where he was Executive Vice President. Previously, he held senior roles for more than 25 years at Fluor Corporation. As Vice President and Group Executive of Fluor's $2.1 billion Global Services division, he was responsible for sales, marketing and strategic planning. Earlier at Fluor, he was Executive Director, responsible for managing major accounts such as IBM, DuPont and Hitachi. He also held general management and business development positions at Fluor. Wasilewski formerly held senior positions at TradeMC, a joint venture of Fluor and IBM, and at Norwegian-based Kvaerner E&C.

Wasilewski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He also completed the executive education program in Strategic Decision Making at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned a certificate in International Business Management at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
