Cavium Q2 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Cavium Inc. (CAVM) Wednesday reported second-quarter net loss of $4.3 million or $0.08 per share, compared to net loss of $11.8 million or $0.24 per share last year.

Adjusted net income for the second quarter was $12.6 million or $0.23 per share, compared to $3.5 million or $0.07 per share last year. On average, 20 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.22 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue in the second quarter was $74.2 million, a 34.2 percent year-over-year increase from the $55.3 million reported in the second quarter last year.
