Canadian Natural Resources Q3 Profit Down, But Beats Estimates

(RTTNews) - Oil and natural gas production company Canadian Natural Resources Ltd.(CNQ,CNQ.TO) Thursday reported a decline in its third-quarter earnings to C$1.03 billion or C$0.94 per share from C$1.16 billion or C$1.07 per share last year.

On an adjusted basis, the firm's earnings from operations totaled C$0.89 per share. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of C$0.75 for the period. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Quarterly revenues however, rose to C$4.71 billion from C$4.65 billion, while analysts estimated revenues of C$4.92 billion for the quarter

The company declared a quarterly cash dividend on common shares of C$0.225 per share, payable on January 1.
