Burger King Perfume A Whopper Of An April Fools Joke?

(RTTNews) - How many of us would like to smell like a flame grilled burger? Not many, perhaps. Surprisingly, Burger King Japan has announced plans to launch a limited-edition perfume on April 1 which will smell like flame-grilled hamburger.

Ads released in Japan by Burger King announced it will release the "Flame-Grilled Fragrance" on April Fool's day. It will only be available for one day and will retail for 5,000 yen or about $41.

Is this an April Fool hoax or Whopper idea from the Burger King?

According to WSJ, the company said the announcement is not a hoax and it will certainly sell the perfume at its stores in Japan on April 1, which is also April Fool's Day.

Burger King had also executed a similar marketing stunt in 2008 with the release of a cologne called "Flame" that had "the scent of seduction" and a "hint of flame-broiled meat."
