BT Says In Talks With Ofcom On Two Issues; To Work To Reach Voluntary Settlement

(RTTNews) - BT Group plc (BT_A.L, BT) on Tuesday said it is in discussions with Ofcom on two outstanding issues, the reporting line of the Openreach CEO and the form of legal incorporation.

The company also said it will continue to work with Ofcom to reach a voluntary settlement.

The company was responding to Ofcom's announcement in the morning, updating on the next steps of the Digital Communications Review.

In its statement, the company said, "We put forward proposals in July that we believe are fair and sustainable, and that meet Ofcom's objectives without disproportionate costs. We are implementing these proposals, and have just appointed Mike McTighe to be the first chairman of Openreach."
