Blackhawk Network Q2 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc. (HAWK, HAWKB) Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $5.1 million or $0.09 per share, up from $2.1 million or $0.04 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.17 per share, an increase of 6 percent $0.16 per share last year. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.05 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Total operating revenues for the quarter rose to $283.9 million from $225.9 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $281.89 million for the quarter.
