Berry Plastics Q3 Profit Falls - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Berry Plastics Group Inc (BERY) reported lower third-quarter fiscal 2014 net income attributable to the company of $15 million or $0.12 a share, compared with $40 million or $0.33 a share, in the prior-year quarter.

On the other hand, the firm increased its net sales by 6 percent to $1.30 billion for the June 2014 quarter, from $1.22 billion in the June 2013 quarter, helped by increased selling prices due to higher material costs along with sales from businesses it acquired in the last 12 months.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.37 a share, on revenues of $1.30 billion for the quarter.
